What marvelous photos! I never took a liking to "The Christmas Story." I am partial to "White Christmas."

I always liked Prancer, which was a sadder story, but I had been to where it was filmed, which made a connection.

Love the Leg Lamp! I've ordered LATE FOR BINGO, and can't wait until it's downloaded.

Thanks Jane. I consider The Way Over the Hill Gang as my homage to the folks I knew while working in the convalescent center. There were some characters., Both Gus and Lola are tributes to two of them.

I just love to get to know authors via pictures as it put a face to the name and makes it more friendly. Love the pic with the lag lamp; however, the one with Chance (may he rest in peace) is a heart stopper and my all time favorite.

Every year we'd put the antlers on Chance for Christmas photos. The year my son served in Iraq, we had to keep his very mischievous dog who destroyed the antlers. Personally, I think Chance may have asked him to do so.

I will be visiting my sister in Atlanta in April. You live around there? I used to live near Charleston, SC in both Ladson and Summerville, but not at the same time. :)

Love the photos! Sorry to hear Chance has passed — dogs are never with us king enough. Your daughter looks so happy with him.

Chance was partial to the women. When he was younger, he brought a female friend of mine a frozen frog he'd retrieved from the pond. She was not impressed. Because he carried things without biting into them, we were able to put the frog back.

I think I like The Christmas Story because I can relate to it. I remember getting dressed to go outside and hardly being able to move.

I think everyone should have a leg lamp! Chance looks like a well-loved puppy. So sorry for your loss. I lost my Ox in 2012, just his memories make me smile!

Your suggestions all sound great. Maybe I should just go get an amaryllis bulb to make it through the winter. They are always on sale after Christmas. :)
