To escape a deadly stalker, Caitlin Fitzgerald flees her home in Ireland and takes a governess job in the top end of Australia.
In her chosen safe haven, she has poisonous snakes, spiders, and crocodiles to contend with. And the very handsome and moody station owner, Jake Monterey, to
keep her awake at night. But not only is Caitlin at risk of losing her heart to Jake and his two adorable children, the danger she thought she’d left behind has found her again. Has she unwittingly placed the lives of those she loves in jeopardy?

With Murderous Intent
by Maggi Andersen is a romantic suspense published by Black Opal books. Caitlin Fitzgerald is the victim of a romance gone bad, very bad. The only way she can avoid her crazed ex-boyfriend is to flee Ireland. With this in mind, she accepts a nanny position in Australia, far, far away from her intimidating ex.

Caitlin would like a chance to start over and do something that matters. Her plans did not include landing a new man. That is the farthest thing from her mind, but it still doesn’t stop her from noticing her handsome boss.  The man isn’t for her since she is well on his way to marrying a wealthy socialite. Instead, she focusses on her two charges.

Jake has his life in order, or at least he thinks so.  The nanny he advertised for may turn the tide in the children’s favor as far as his
fiancée goes. It is no secret that his wealthy, gorgeous girlfriend isn’t
anxious to become a stepmother. It would work out better if his fiancée could be more like Caitlin.

Caitlin realizes her job might end if Jake’s fiancée gets her way. Worse yet, she has suspicions that her distant, dangerous ex might have followed all the way out to the bush.  The last thing she wants to do is to endanger Jake or the children.

With Murderous Intent explores the world of Australia with facts about the climate, landscape, fauna and wildlife. This is a sweet romance with the flavor of the outback.

Excerpt 1.
Caitlin froze as her imagination ran wild. Turning, she ran back down the escalator and out into the square. People eating at a Mexican food stall looked at her in surprise. She collapsed onto a bench behind a vine-covered pergola, her knees shaking too much to hold her up, and tried to come to terms with what she’d seen.

When she’d calmed herself and ordered her racing thoughts, she planned to follow Max and see where he was staying, but after
watching the entrance to the mall for half an hour, neither he nor Connor made an appearance. There would probably be another exit to the next street, she reasoned. Feeling terribly vulnerable, she hurried back to the hotel, constantly turning to check behind her.

She entered the hotel, fairly sure, she hadn’t been followed. The hotel suite was empty. A glance from the balcony down at the pool told her Jake and the children were still out. She shut herself in her room and curled up in a fetal position on the bed. Perhaps she should have made a more concerted effort to follow Max, but she had to admit she was afraid. One thing was clear—she’d been stupid not to tell Jake from the very first. He would have to be warned now. Her sheltered life at Tall Trees was coming to an end.

   Far too soon.

Good Morning Maggi,

It is great to have you and your book here today. Unfortunately, too many women know what it is like to be stalked by a vengeful ex and can indentify with Caitlin.

I think it would be terrifying to unexpectedly see your stalker half a world away. I couldn't even imagine.

Great excerpt, it sounds like it is going to be a thrilling story if she is willing to go to such lengths to escape him

I had a guy cyber stalking me, which was bad enough. I don't know what I'd do if he showed up in person. Tweeted.

Been a long time since I've read a book about Australia. Looking forward to a good read. Reading through the other comments I would like to add; in the U.S. stalking is not a felony. We need to do more to protect our citizens from dangers such as this and do more than recommending that they file a no contact order. Those orders are ignored and rarely if disobeyed does the stalker spend even one night in jail.
